Venezuela, resmî adıyla Bolivarcı Venezuela Cumhuriyeti, Güney Amerika'nın kuzey kıyısında yer alan bir ülkedir. Kuzeyde Karayip Denizi, doğuda Guyana, güneyde Brezilya ve batıda Kolombiya ile çevrilidir. Venezuela toprakları yerli halkların direnişine rağmen 1522'de İspanya tarafından sömürgeleştirildi. 1811'de İspanya'dan bağımsızlık ilan eden ilk bölge oldu. Bir süre Kolombiya Cumhuriyeti'nin (Büyük Kolombiya) bir parçası olarak kaldıktan sonra 1830'da ayrılarak tam bağımsız bir ülke oldu. Venezuela BM, OAS, UNASUR, ALBA, Mercosur, ALADI ve OEI üyesidir. Yüzölçümü 916,445 km2, nüfusu yaklaşık 28 milyondur. Başkenti ve en büyük metropolü Caracas'tır.
