Dmitri Dmitriyeviç Şostakoviç (25 Eylül 1906, Sankt-Peterburg — 9 Ağustos 1975, Moskova) Rus bestecidir.
SSCB Yüksek Sovyet Milletvekili, Lenin Nişanı sahibidir. Besteci ve piyanist olmasının yanı sıra film müziği ve caz da dahil olmak üzere pek çok türde eserler verdi. 20. yüzyılın en tanınan bestecilerinden biri olarak kabul edilir.
Şostakoviç, Sovyet mareşali Mihail Tuhaçevski'nin himayesinde ün kazandı. RSFSC Yüksek Sovyeti'nde (1947) ve Sovyetler Birliği Yüksek Sovyeti'nde (1962'den ölümüne kadar) görev yaptı.
Çalışmalarında çeşitli müzik tekniklerini bir araya getirerek hibrit bir ses geliştiren Şostakoviç, Igor Stravinsky'nin öncülediği neoklasik tarzdan ve Gustav Mahler'in geç romantizminden de büyük ölçüde etkilenmiştir. Eserlerinin büyük çoğunluğunda keskin kontrastlar göze çarpmaktadır. Şostakoviç'in orkestra eserleri 15 senfoni ve altı konçerto içerir.
