Antik Yunan inancında Nemesis, Adalet, intikam ve denge tanrıçasıdır. Nemesis’in tapınağı Marathon'un kuzeyinde bulunan Rhamnous şehrinde olduğu için Rhamnousia/Rhamnusia olarak da anılır. Bir diğer adı “kaçınılmaz” anlamına gelen Adrasteia’dır.
