Dimitri Mitropoulos (1 Mart 1896 doğumlu, Atina - öldüKasım 2, 1960, Milano), 20. yüzyıl eserlerinin performanslarıyla tanınan şef.
Mitropoulos, Berlin Devlet Operası'nda (1921-24) çalıştı ve 1930'a kadar Atina Konservatuarı'nı yönetti. 1937'den 1949'a kadar Minneapolis Senfoni Orkestrası'nı yönetti.
Çağdaş operaların konser performanslarını tanıttığı New York Filarmoni'nin (1951-58) müzik direktörüydü. 1954'ten itibaren Büyükşehir Operası'nda çalıştı ve 1958'de baş şef oldu.
Milano'daki La Scala orkestrasıyla prova yaparken öldü.
