Mil tarafından üretilen Sovyet yapımı bir nakliye helikopteridır. Helikopter, Sikorsky H-19 Chickasaw'a karşılık geliştirilmiş olup ilk uçuşunu 3 Haziran 1952 tarihinde gerçekleştirmiş ve 1953 yılında hizmete girmiştir.
