Magna Graecia'daki Tiren sahilinde yer alan önemli bir antik Yunan şehriydi. Paestum kalıntıları, Dor döneminden, M.Ö. 600'den 450'ye kadar uzanan, çok iyi bir şekilde korunmuş olan üç antik tapınağı ile ünlüdür. Kent surları ve amfitiyatrosu büyük ölçüde bozulmamıştır. 1998 yılında Dünya Mirası olarak ilan edilmiştir.
