Doğu Timorlu politikacıdır. Eski bir militan olarak Mayıs 2002 ve Mayıs 2007 yılları arası hizmet Doğu Timor'un ilk Cumhurbaşkanı oldu. 8 Ağustos 2007 tarihinde Doğu Timor dördüncü Başbakanı olmuştur.
