Kuzey Nijer'de Sahra çölünde bulunan akasya dünyanın en izole edilmiş ağacıydı - çapında bulunabilecek tek ağaçtı. Sarhoş Libyalı bir kamyon sürücüsünün ağaca çarpmasıyla ağaç kurudu ve öldü. Şu an bu ağaç müzede sergilenmektedir.
