Karadağ'da bulunan bir şehir ve belediyedir. Şehir ülkenin kuzeydoğusunda Lim Nehri'nin kıyısında yer almaktadır. Yüzölçümü olan 717 km² belediyenin nüfusu 2011 yılı itibarı ile 28.315'tir. Berane Osmanlı döneminde İpek Sancağı'na bağlı bir kaza idi.
