Pantanal
Brezilya'da yer alan, dünyanın en büyük tropikal sulak alanı kapsayan doğal bir bölgedir. Çoğunlukla Mato Grosso do Sul, Brezilya Devlet içinde yer alır, Mato Grosso ve Bolivya ve Paraguay bölümlerini içine uzanır. 195.000 ila 140 bin kilometre kare civarında bir alana yayılmış durumdadır. Çeşitli alt-bölgesel ekosistemler var olup, farklı hidrolojik, jeolojik ve ekolojik özellikleri ile 1982'de tanımlanmıştır.
