Dominik Cumhuriyeti'nin başkenti. Avrupalıların Batı Yarıküre'de kurdukları en eski sürekli yerleşmedir. Hispaniola Adası güneydoğu kıyısında yer alır. 1496'da Kristof Kolomb'un kardeşi Bartolomeo tarafından Yenidünya'daki ilk İspanyol kolonisinin yönetim merkezi olarak kuruldu.
