Obidos, muhteşem tarihi kent merkezine sahip, labirent gibi parke taşlı sokaklarındaki beyaz badanalı evleriyle oldukça şirin bir Portekiz kasabasıdır.
Yaklaşık 3100 kişinin yaşadığı Obidos’ta birçok lüks konaklama mekânı bulunmaktadır. Kasabayı ünlü kılan asıl özelliği ise tepede yer alan surlarla çevrili tarihi kent bölgesidir. Bu açıdan Portekiz’in en ilginç Orta Çağ kentlerinden biri sayılmaktadır.
Obidos, Latin kökenli eski Kelt dilindeki "Eburobricio” isminden gelmektedir.
