Hokkaidō, Sapporo doğumlu Japon film direktörü, animatör,senarist ve manga sanatçısıdır. Japanese Animation Creators Association üyesidir. Musashino Sanat Üniversitesi'nin Görsel Tasarım bölümünden mezun olmuştur. Perfect Blue, Tokyo Godfathers ve Paprika anime filmleriyle bilinir.
