  • A pretty little garden, originally the graveyard of Temple Church. The church was bombed in the blitz but the tower stands high and proud.
  • After the war many of the damaged buildings in the city were demolished, but Temple Church was too important to Bristol’s history to be knocked down.
  • Temple parish merged into St Mary Redcliffe parish in 1956. The church was bombed on 24/25 November 1940 in the Bristol Blitz, leaving it an empty shell.
  • Located in central Bristol near Victoria Street and Bath Bridges roundabout, getting to Temple Church is relatively easy regardless of your mode of transport.
  • Nicknamed the ‘Leaning Tower of Bristol’, Temple Church dates all the way back to the 12th century.
