Gyaru (Japonca: ギャル), Japonya'da bir altkültürdür.
Terim İngilizce kız anlamına gelen «girl» sözcüğünün Japonca harf çevirisi olup 1970'lerdeki «GALS» markasından gelmektedir.
Gyaruların, oya o nakaseru (親を泣かせる, Ağlayan ebeveyn) ve daraku jogakusei (堕落女学生, dejeneratif öğrenciler) gibi türleri bulunmaktadır.
Erkek gyarular ise gyaruo (ギャル男) olarak adlandırılır.
Gyaru Japonya'nın sokak modasında önemli bir konuma sahiptir.
