80 ya da 81'de doğdu, 130 ile 138 arasında öldü, Kapadokya'da yaşamış olan ve Roma ve İskenderiye'de de çalışmış olan bir Yunan bilginidir. Aretaeus migren baş ağrısını, diyabet hastalığını, astım ve trigeminal nevralji ilk kez tanımlayan hekimdir.
