  • The National Museum of Slovenia is housed in a centrally located neo-Renaissance palace built between 1883 and 1885 to designs by Viljem Treo. The Museum's history goes back to 1821, to the foundation of its predecessor, the Provincial Museum of Carniola. The museum gives an amazing insight into the history of Slovenia, including during WWI, King Alexander I and Tito.
