Nearby, in 1764 there was built the 9-domed steepled Church of Intercession of Our Lady, and in 1874 a belltower was added to the architectural ensemble.
One of them is the Kizhi Pogost, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and became the basis of the famous architectural museum-reserve "Kizhi".
So, today the belltower is just a little bit below the church - 30 meters high and there is a wonderful view of the Kizhi surroundings from the belfry.
It was officially opened when its altar was laid on June 6, 1714, and was renovated in the 19th century, around the time the second belltower was built.
