Hırvatistan veya resmî adıyla Hırvatistan Cumhuriyeti, Avrupa'da Orta Avrupa, Balkanlar ve Akdeniz'in kesişme noktasında bulunan üniter demokratik bir parlamenter cumhuriyet. Kıyısı tamamen Adriyatik Denizi'nde yer alır. Kuzeybatısında Slovenya, kuzeydoğusunda Macaristan, doğusunda Sırbistan, güneydoğusunda Bosna-Hersek ve Karadağ ile komşudur ve batı ile güneybatıda İtalya ile deniz sınırı paylaşır. Başkenti ve en büyük şehri olan Zagreb ülkenin ana idari birimlerinden birini oluşturur ve yirmi ilçeden oluşur. Ülke, toplamda 56.594 kilometrekarelik bir alanı kaplar ve nüfusu neredeyse 3,9 milyondur.
