The Ancient Theatre of Philippopolis is one of the best preserved Ancient Roman amphitheatres in the world. The Ancient theatre was one of the main public buildings of the Old city of Philippopolis. They constructed it in the 1st century A.D. which was during the reign of Emperor Domitian (81-96 A.D.). Since then they used the amphitheatre until the 5th century.
