The oldest core of the town hall complex is a house with a tower that belonged to the city’s Reeve Jacobus who died in 1374. The piano nobile located upstairs with a lavishly decorated façade served as a session room for the city’s council. In the 1st third of the 15th century, the house became the official town hall.
