As you walk in Valletta on the Republic street, you shall this church dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi. Entrance is free of charge, however donations are always welcome. It was build between 1598 and 1607 - so it is standing there for several hundred years. It is interesting to visit, even if you are not a Catholic, or a religious person - since paintings of Mattia Preti are decorating the church - amongst other.
