Built in 1888 and previously known as Taman Tasik Perdana or Perdana Lake Gardens, Perdana Botanical Gardens is the city’s green lung. It’s the first largest and oldest recreational park in Kuala Lumpur, with over 220 acres (91 hectares) of land. The garden served as a retreat from the city during the British colonial times, used for recreational activities.
