It has been used as a backdrop for many major events throughout history, including the wedding of King Charles III to Lady Diana Spencer and Winston Churchill’s funeral. The wedding attracted over a million spectators, who lined the processional route from Clarence House to the City of London and its St Paul’s Cathedral.
