The church was supposed to have two towers, but due to lack of funds, only one was built. The central altar of the basilica is located in a room intended for the choir. The left side of the altar is dedicated to Saint Afra, the right side is dedicated to St. Ulrich. On the right hand of the altar are four chapels: St. George, St. Andrew, St. Zimpert and St. Benedict.
