- With his striking looks and worldwide fame, the Big Pineapple is a rock star of the Big Thing universe. But things haven't always been sweet for this icon.
- “If New York is the Big Apple, does that make Honolulu the Big Pineapple?” was printed in the Honolulu (HI) Advertiser on March 30, 1981.
- The attraction went on the market in June 2005. The Big Pineapple features two rides: One on a Nut Mobile, the other on a small train.
