Kazan Cathedral - Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God - is one of the largest temples in St. Petersburg. The Kazan Cathedral is a neoclassical, stately building, modeled on the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican. It was built on the Nevsky Prospect in 1801-1811 by the architect A.N. Voronikin.
