  • Future Negative: shouldn’t, won’t have to get. Might¶. possibility: Your purse might be in the living room. conditional: If I didn’t have to work, I might go with you.
  • In popular usage and speech, may and might are used interchangeably when referring to possibility and probability, but there is a slight difference between the two.

  • May and Might. 1. To express (future) possibility. There is a chance that something is true or that there is a possibility of something happening.
