Russia's first Museum of the World Ocean is located on the waterfront of Peter the Great in Kaliningrad. A unique museum of its kind, formed in April 1990, today has fixed assets of 55 thousand units, and covers an area of more than ten thousand square meters. The exposition of the Museum of the World Ocean is dedicated to the geology and hydrology of the oceans, marine flora and fauna, navigation, and has a valid environmental station and scientific library.
