History:
Gorky Park is a large recreational park in Moscow, Russia. It was named in honour of Maxim Gorky. The park has an area of 635,000 square meters and is situated on the Moskva River. The current Gorky Park was built in 1928, on the site of a former industrial waste-ground. When it opened, its two main attractions were the "Aquapark" and the "Lunapark" (amusement park).
