Istana Maimun (Maimun Palace) is one of the remaining palaces in the country. It is located in the village Talbot, Medan Maimun, 200 meters away from Masjid Raya Al Mashun. It was built during the reign of Sultan Makmun Al Rasyid Perkasa Alamsyah, ruler of the Deli Sultanate from 1873 until 1924.
