Dwight David “Ike” Eisenhower (1890 – 1969) was an American military general and politician who led the Allied Forces to victory in World War II and served as the 34th President of the United States from 1953 to 1961. Eisenhower served as the Supreme Allied Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force from December 1943 till the end of World War II in May 1945.
