Kurt Schwitters (d. 20 Haziran 1887, Hannover - ö. 8 Ocak 1948) resim, heykel, tipografi ve edebiyatla uğraşmış Alman sanatçıdır.
1917-18 arası Dışavurumculuk ve Kübizm'den etkilenmiş, 1918'da Hannover'de 'Merz' adını verdiği bir Dada akımı yaratmış; etiketler, kırık tahta parçaları, biletler gibi atık malzemelerden kolajlar ve konstrüksiyonlar oluşturmuştur.
Schwitters'in Merz işleri 20.yy'ın ilerleyen yıllarında yaygınlaşan enstalasyon sanatının ilk örnekleri olarak görülebilir.
