The Epiphany Cathedral of the Tula Kremlin was built in 1855-1862; on February 16, 1930, the Epiphany Cathedral was closed by the Soviet authorities and never opened. At the end of the 70s of the last century, the building of the Epiphany Cathedral was transferred to the Tula Arms Factory to house exhibits of the Museum of Weapons; on May 18, 1989, the museum was opened.
