Yidiş, Orta ve Doğu Avrupa'daki Aşkenazi Yahudileri arasında ortaya çıkan bir Cermen dilidir. İbrani alfabesi kullanılarak yazılmıştır ve İbranice, Aramice, Slav dilleri ve Roman dillerinin unsurlarını içerir.
Yidiş dilini konuşanların sayısının dünya çapında 1,5 milyon civarında olduğu tahmin ediliyor. Ancak Yidiş'in nesli tükenmekte olan bir dil olarak kabul edildiğini ve konuşanların çoğunluğunun yaşlı olduğunu belirtmek önemlidir. Dilin yeniden canlandırılması ve korunması için çaba gösteriliyor.
