Alan LaVern Bean, 15 Mart 1932'de doğmuştur. Amerikan emekli deniz subayı ve havacı, uçak mühendisi, test pilotu ve NASA astronotu olan Alan Bean, Ay'da yürüyen dördüncü kişiydi.
İlk uçuşunu Ay'a, 1969 Kasım'ında 37 yaşındayken yaptı. 1975'te Amerika Birleşik Devletleri Deniz Kuvvetleri'nden ve 1981'de NASA'dan emekli olduktan sonra uzay ile ilgili çeşitli sahneleri resmederek, kendi deneyimlerini ve Apollo programındaki astronotlarının kendi deneyimlerini belgeledi. Apollo 12'nin son yaşayan mürettebatıydı.
Alan Bean, 26 Mayıs 2018'de Houston'da hayatını kaybetti.
