The birthplace of Anton Chekhov is the place in Taganrog, Russia, where the writer Anton Chekhov was born. It is now a writer's house museum. In 1916, the Taganrog City Council supported the initiative of the Chekhov Circle and acquired the house and grounds on Chekhov Street 69 to conserve the house of Anton Chekhov.

Anton Pavloviç Çehov (29 Ocak 1860 — 15 Temmuz 1904), Rus oyun ve kısa öykü yazarıdır.
Tarihte kısa öykü alanında en iyi yazarlar arasında sayılmaktadır. Oyun yazarı olarak kariyerinde dört klasik eser üretmiş ve en iyi kısa öyküleri, yazarlar ve eleştirmenler tarafından olumlu eleştiriler almıştır.
Çehov, Henrik Ibsen ve August Strindberg ile birlikte çoğu zaman tiyatroda erken modernizmin doğuşundaki üç yaratıcı figürden biri olarak anılmaktadır.
