The Brunkeberg Tunnel in Norrmalm, Stockholm, is a 231-metre-long passageway for pedestrians through the esker Brunkebergsåsen. The tunnel was inaugurated in 1886 by King Oscar II. On this end of the tunnel (Sveavägen side) you’ll find the Hötorget T-Banna (subway) and a plaque memorizing the location where the Swedish Prime Minister was murdered in 1986.
