The Byzantine Museum is one of the most famous museums of the city of Zakynthos (Zante). The Museum is located on the South side of the main square of the city Solomos, named after the Greek poet Dionysios Solomos. The Museum was built after the earthquake of 1953 on the initiative of academician of Manolis Hatzidakis and opened its doors to visitors in 1960.
