Not far from the Pillnitzer Schloss (Pillnitz Palace) is the Carl Maria von Weber Museum. The composer and his wife discovered this typical vintner's house while out walking in the spring of 1818. Weber and his family stayed here in the warmer parts of the year in1818 and 1819 and again in 1822-1824, and many fellow-musicians and friends came to visit him here.
