St. Peter’s Cathedral is the tallest building in Bautzen’s silhouette, which is rich in towers. It dates back to 1217/18, the year in which the collegiate chapter of St. Peter’s was founded. The choir of the building was completed in 1221. Some parts from this time, such as the portal, are still preserved.
