The building of Chicago Temple was completed in 1923. It undoubtedly dominates the architectural landscape of the area. Today it houses the Chicago Temple First United Methodist Church, as well as 18 floors of commercial office space. It is considered to be one of the tallest historic buildings in Chicago (almost 600 feet tall), and it is very impressive both outside and inside, where paintings and beautiful glass windows are so admirable.
