Friedensreich Hundertwasser - Avusturyalı ressam.
1936'da Viyana'da Montessori Okulu na girerek, teknik ressam ve suluboyacı olarak doğal bir yetenek ve duyarlık sergiledi.
1949'da Fransız sanatçı René Brö’yla birlikte İtalya’ya gitti ve Paris’e dönüşünde de onunla duvar resmi konusunda işbirliği yaptı.
1951'de Viyana Sanal Kulübü’nün üyesi olan Hundertwasser, bu dönemde Anlatımcı-Soyutlama’yla Serbest Biçimli Sanat’ı tanıyarak radikal bir biçimde Dışavurumculuk’a yöneldi.
1953 dolayında kullanmaya başladığı sarmal hiçim, bu tarihten sonra sanatçının üslubumla sürekli yer alan bir öğe durumuna geldi.
Hiindertwasser, sert ve acı renkleri birlikte kullanarak ışıltılı boyalan yeğledi.
