John Bernard Hofsiss (28 Eylül 1950 — 13 Eylül 2016) bir Amerikan tiyatro, film ve televizyon yönetmeniydi.
O zamana kadarki en genç yönetmen olan The Elephant Man on Broadway ile Tony Ödülü aldı. Yapım aynı zamanda ona Drama Desk Ödülü, Outer Critics Circle Ödülü, Obie Ödülü ve New York Drama Critics Circle Ödülü kazandı.
1984 yılında Aile Sırları Direktörü; başrollerinde Melissa Gilbert, James Spader, Stefanie Powers ve Maureen Stapleton yer alıyor.
Hofsiss, hayatının sonunda New York City'deki HB Studio'da yönetmenlik dersi veriyordu. Yönettiği son oyun 2015 yılında Noël Coward Society tarafından desteklenen Design for Living idi.
