Opened in 1931 following the painter’s death, the Julio Romero de Torres Museum (Museo Julio Romero de Torres) is the best place to see the local artist’s oeuvre. Torres was known for his portraits—primarily of Andalucian women—as well as vibrant depictions of flamenco performers and other scenes from Spanish life.
