Leό Szilárd (Macarca: Szilárd Leό) (Almanca: Leo Spitz -2 yaşına kadar-; d. 11 Şubat 1898- ö. 30 Mayıs 1964), Macar-Amerikan fizikçi ve mucit.
1933 yılında nükleer zincir reaksiyonunu tasarladı ve Enrico Fermi ile birlikte nükleer reaktör fikri sayesinde patent aldı.
1939'un sonlarına doğru Albert Einstein'a imzasını istediği bir mektup yazdı. Bu mektup atom bombası inşa edilen Manhattan Projesinde sonuçlandı.
Ayrıca elektron mikroskopunu tasarladı. Çizgisel hızlandırıcıyı tasarladı (1928'de Gustav Ising'in 1924 yılında yazdığı makalesinden ve Rolf Widerøe'nin kullanıma hazır cihazından habersiz olarak) ve ayrıca siklotronu (ivme makinesi) tasarladı.
