The cathedral in Tsarskoye Selo was built in 5 years and in 1840 it was consecrated in honor of the Holy Great Martyr Catherine of Alexandria. The height of the Catherine Cathedral reaches 53 meters and for more than a century it was the tallest building in the city. In 1842, the garden master Fyodor Lyamin designed the area around the temple.

Katerina Sarayı 1879 Rus İşgali Döneminde baltık Mimari tarzında,Çar II.Nikolay tarafından Hollanda'lı Mühendislere yaptırmıştır.
Tarihi yapı Rus istilası Sonrası, Cumhuriyet döneminde konak,hastane,askeri birlik binası olarak kullanılmıştır. 1980 ihtilali sonrası tamamen boşaltılan yapı 2015 yılına kadar kaderine terk edilmiş, bu süreçte özellikle bina içi fazlasıyla tahrip olmuştur.
Bu muhteşem yapı 2015 Yılında Kars'lı İş Adamı Kemal Erdoğdu tarafından restore edilerek Özel Belgeli Butik Otel olarak ülke ve dünya turuzmine kazandırılmıştır. Tesiste 34 oda bulunmaktadır.
