24 Mayıs 1941’de Minnesota, ABD’de Robert Allen Zimmerman adıyla doğan Dylan, müziği ve şarkı sözleriyle nesiller boyu süren bir miras yaratmıştır. Folk müziğinin en büyük isimlerinden biri olarak kabul edilen Dylan, müziğin sadece eğlence aracı olmadığını, aynı zamanda toplumsal ve politik mesajlar iletmek için de kullanılabileceğini göstermiştir.
Bob Dylan, sadece müziğiyle değil, aynı zamanda edebi çalışmalarıyla da tanınır. 2016 yılında Nobel Edebiyat Ödülü’ne layık görülen Dylan, bu ödülü alan ilk müzisyen oldu.
