Baiterek is a futuristic tower in the capital of Kazakhstan Astana, it is a symbol of the capital move, a new stage in Kazakh people’s life. The Astana-Baiterek Monument is located on the left bank of the Ishim River (Yesil), opposite the Presidential Residence. A giant glass ball has been raised on 500 piles, which changes its colour at different angles, but more often it seems to be cast in gold.
