Genel bilgiler
Gyeongbokgung Sarayı olarak da adlandırılan Gyeongbok Sarayı, Joseon döneminin ana ve en büyük kraliyet sarayıdır.
Saray 1395 yılında inşa edilmiştir ve Seul şehrinin kuzey kesiminde yer almaktadır. Joseon döneminde inşa edilen Beş Büyük Saray'ın en büyüğü olarak kabul edilen Gyeongbokgung, kraliyet ailesine ev sahipliği yapıyordu.
Sarayın adı Korece'den «parlak mutluluk sarayı» olarak çevrilmiştir.
Saray kompleksinin en önemli özelliği Gyeongjongjon taht odası ve Gyeonghweru pavyonudur.
